He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Inez Shaver and Felix Shaver; his adoptive father Sam Dartt; his wife Helen Dartt; his children, Karen Williams of West Valley, Nancy Richards (Keith) of Rigby, Judy O'Brien (Arlen) of Salmon, Leatha Fernandez (George) of Kuna, Christy Bennett (Tommy) of Florence, Debbie Carpenter (Andy) of Barton and Jim Dartt (Sandra) of Salmon, Idaho; his half-sisters, Louise VanSickle and Janet Berreman; his stepsister Marilyn Garrett; his children, Samuel, Kathy, Bill and Wayne McDougal; his son-in-law Keith Williams; and his siblings, Mary, Donald, Charles and Lynn. He was also cherished by twenty-six grandchildren, fifty-eight great-grandchildren, twelve great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
