He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Evans Sr. and Suzanne Lavely Evans. He is survived by: his wife Lynda Evans; his children, James W. Evans III (Angel) of Salmon and Barbara Ann Flair; his sisters, Janet Henmen of Chico, Madeline Carol Smith of Mount Shasta and Kathy Shuffett Taylor of Greensburg; and his grandchildren, Andy Evans of Salmon, Daniel Evans of Corydon, Hailey Flair of Bradner and Zach Evans of Evansville, Indiana. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren; and several other loving family members and friends.
Jim proudly served as the Executive Director of the Nez Perce Trail Foundation for many years.
