He is survived by: his wife Ruth Smith; his sister Carol Giovannetti; his sons, Mark (Gail) and Kirk (Marsha); and his grandchildren, Anntara Smith (Jason Longley), Terra Bigelow (Mark), Janelle Connell (Adam), Ashlyn Acikalin (Yavuz), Katelyn Petry (Jerame) and Mitko Smith. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
