He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Hade and Clyde Augustus Hawley, Sr.; his wife Mary Joyce (Briggs); his son James; his son-in-law Michael Morfitt; and his brother Denny.

He is survived by: his children, Rebecca, Briggs and Mary; his children-in-law, Steve Hill and Georgetta Hawley; and his grandchildren, Jack, Stephanie, Corina, Matthew, Susan and Nicole.
