He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Ables and Lela Ables (Allen); his siblings, Billy Gene Ables Jr., Gregory Ables and Barbara Ables; and his granddaughter Adele Ables.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Waddell; his children, Michael Ables (Patricia Boyd) of Vina, CA, Billie Stone of Pendleton, OR, Richard Ables Jr. (Angela) of Chico, CA, Curtis Ables (Angelique) of St. Maries, ID and David Ables (Melissa) of Redding, CA; and his brothers, John Ables (Laurie) of Corning, CA and David Ables (Lori) of Red Bluff, CA. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
