He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Wilks and Byrl Wilks (Taylor); his wife Helen Cowin; his son Paul Wilks; and his siblings, Emmalene Curtis, Richard Wilks and Irene West.
He is survived by: his former wife Dorene Thomas; his daughters, Diana West (Rick) of Clarkston, WA and Glenna Hendrix (George) of Sandpoint, ID; and his brother Leonard Wilks (Rhonda) of Emida, ID. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
