He was predeceased by: his parents, Elzie Smith and Edith Smith (Blankenship); his brother Gary Smith; and his brother-in-law Dean Gentry. He is survived by: his former spouse Terese Findlay; his wife Donna Haynes; his son Andrew Smith (Kristen) of Charlotte; his stepchildren, Katherine Owen (Brian) of Cohutta, Georgia, Ron Martell of Coeur and Alene; and his siblings, Paul Smith (Colleen) and Glenda Gentry of St. Maries. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
