He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Russell and Bessie Russell. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Russell and Mathew Russell (Julie); his grandchildren, Dean Ramey (Chloe), Hudson and Addison Russell; his wife Susan Jackson; and his siblings, Monte Russell (Tracey), Suzie James (Jeremey), Robert Mellon (Sharon), Joyce Felton (Bob), Rene Wilkonson and Janet Russell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
