As Vernice Evelyn Bowers departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Vernice Evelyn Bowers may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Vernice Evelyn Bowers leaves behind.

She was predeceased by : her parents, William "Bill" Bowers and Eva Maier; her husband Ernest Fletcher; her sister Elaine Pazdel; her son Kenneth Dale Fletcher; and her great grandchild Nayeli Medina.

She is survived by : her children, Bill Fletcher (Teana) of Heyburn, Barbara Gallegos (Gary) of Heyburn, Deborah Medina (Jose) of Twin Falls and Kimberly Ryan (Ed) of Rupert; and her brother Lloyd Bowers of Newton, Alabama. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, June 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home (1350 E 16th St, Burley, ID 83318). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
