He was predeceased by: his mother Evangelina Rivera; his sisters, Maria and Paula Rivera (Gutierrez); his wife Maria of Consuelo Rodriguez; his children, Lois Rivera, Victoria Ramirez and Jose Manuel; his grandson Manuel Olmos Jr.; his great grandchild Valeria Pacheco; and his sons-in-law, Martin Pacheco, Robert Tamez, Benito Lozano and Artemio Rubio.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Rivera, Maria Eva Rubio of Lourdes Tamez, Elva Rosa Lozano, Teodoro Rivera Jr., Leticia Olmos (Manuel), Manuel Rivera, Mario Rivera (Martha) and Martha Elena Saenz (Rusbel). He is also survived by many grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
