He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvil Frank Hanshew and Marilyn Lucille Phillips; his brother Steven Hanshew; his stepfather Vernon Callan Phillips; and his stepsiblings, Randy Phillips, Joan Phillips, Jamie Rasmussen and Janet Phillips.
He is survived by: his daughters, Stephanie Charles (Brian), Heidi Shields of Nampa, ID and Heathyr Hanshew of Meridian, ID; his grandchildren, Logan, Khloe Kleint, Zack, Madison Shields and Bayley Franklin; his sister Sherri Hanshew; his stepsisters, Louise Rasmussen, Robyn, Pam Hardman of Tigard, OR and Ginger Crowl of Palm Desert, CA; and his stepmother Altha Hanshew (Mac) of Portland, OR. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
