He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter O. Thompson II and Annabell Wynn; his son Clarke; his siblings, Donna Summers (Frank) and Boyd Thompson; and his grandson Tyler.
He is survived by: his son Jeff (Diane); his wife Ann Clarke Thompson; his daughter Paula Godby (Chris); and his daughter-in-law Kristi Thompson. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
