He was predeceased by: his sibling Groves; his parents, Thomas Lysander and Emma Henrietta Nedrow Dayton; and his wife Iris Eleanor Crosland. He is survived by: his close friend Miles Nicholes; his children, Scott Dayton and Tina Silvestri (Tim) of Ojai, California; his grandchildren, Tyson, Cody and Ali; and his great grandchildren, Sophia, Chole, Marco, Carlo, Leo, Megan, Amy, Tater and Karter.
