She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Stephen and Pansy Woolstenhulme Beard; her son Richard Smith; her granddaughter Rachel Ellen; and her siblings, Elda Jacobsen, Sam Beard, Joseph Beard and Merlon Beard.
She is survived by: her spouse Spencer Bruce Smith; her children, Susan Foster (Randall) of Rexburg, Peggy Rando (Bernard) of Atlanta, James Smith of Rexburg and Nancy Wilson (Jerry) of Salem; her daughter-in-law Carolyn Smith; and her siblings, Betty Burgener of Portland and James Beard of Tetonia. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
