He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Susan Franklin; his children, Michele Townsley, Dustin Hymas (Katy), Jamey Hymas, Danielle Harris (Tyson), Rhett Hymas (Tiffany), Chris Hymas, Dallin Hymas (Jaelyn) and Roberta Bartel (Kim); his father Bert Hymas; his sister Darlene Wood (Steve); his mother Betty Hymas; his sister Bernice; and his daughter-in-law Cindy. He was also cherished by 19 grandchildren.
