He was predeceased by: his parents, Lora Alverda Johnstun of Bountiful, Utah and Seth Burns Asay; and his siblings, Sherman of Murray, Utah, Karen Peterson, Betty Steinfeldt of Roosevelt, Utah, Carma Harding of Tooele, Utah and Deanne Eldredge of Neola, Utah..
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Jeorgette Perry of Rexburg, Idaho; his wife Donna of Rexburg, Idaho.; his siblings, Utahna Versluis of West Haven, Rebecca McClellan (Norman) of Orem and Owen (Betsy) of Salem, Oregon.; his children, Andrea Stringham of Blackfoot, Idaho, Nathan, Samuel of Bountiful, Utah, Jennifer Wordelman (Paul) of Layton, Utah, Aleta Jacox (Craig) of Tooele, Utah and Melissa Whitcher (Kevin); and his stepchildren, Ryane, Bryce (Jennifer) of Syracuse, Utah, Tyler (Michelle) of Ucon, Idaho and Jinger Johnson (Michael) of Shelley, Idaho.. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren and 11 step-grandchildren.
It is with deep sadness we announce that our wonderful David Edward Asay, 83, has died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday morning, January 14, 2024, after a hard-fought and valiant battle with cancer and Alzheimer's.
