He was predeceased by: his father Charles Ames; his wife Wanda Mendenhall; his sister Iva LaRue Cheetham; his brother-in-law Ken Cheetham; and his son-in-law Scott Gary Knavel.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Ransom (Lyn), Vicktor Ransom (Connie), Dalina Neel (Martin) and Jason Heath (Becky); and his sister Karma Reid (George). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
