He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, David Eugene and Beula Bell Ashby Nelson; his wife Betty Nelson of Preston; his children, Bonnie Smith and Justin Mitchell (Serene) of Trent, Washington; his sisters, Donna Talbot (Garth) of Santaquin, Utah and LaNeeve Beach of Nampa, Idaho.; his former wife Irene Nielson; and his brothers, Grant and Dwaine Nelson. He was also cherished by four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
