He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hopkins and Evon Hopkins (North); and his brother Nev. He is survived by: his nephews, Dave and Dan; his nieces-in-law, Emelyn Hopkins of Tualatin, Oregon and Sherri Hopkins of Coeurd'Alene; his great-nephew Colton Hopkins of Tualatin, Oregon; his sister-in-law Irene Hopkins; his niece Kelly (Jim Carlson) of Oyama; and his nephew Matt Wachter of Oyama.
