He is survived by: his mother Elizabeth "Betty" Peters; his brother Jon Peters; his nephew Travis Schierman; his nieces, Emily Peters and Holly Peters; and his aunts, Dorothy Rasch and Harriet Mayfield. He is also survived by cousins, and grandnieces.
