He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gleason Franklin and Lois Eileen Burgett Swassing; his wife Daphne Frances Swassing; his children, Jackie Kinsey (Gary), Carl Swassing Jr., Jean Swassing and Roberta Dixon (John); his grandchildren, Christopher Walkenhorst (Tori), Richard Thornell (Alexa), Jacob Thornell (Lisa) of Gary Kinsey, JR, Sara Kinsey, Sylvia Swassing, Joseph Swassing (Grecia), Jonathan Dixon (Daisha) and Troy Dixon; his great grandchildren, Aliyah Dixon, Rondell Dixon and Damian Dixon; and his siblings, Gleason Swassing Jr. (Bonnie), Lois Ann Bailey (Courtney), Lynn, Jim French, Paul Swassing (Valerie) and Leah Sealey (Roger).
