He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dean McCurdy and Melba McCurdy; his brother Bill; his sons, Ian Satoru Murata (Miyuki) and Anthony McCurdy (Eri); his former wife Kazuko Murata; his siblings, Maria Elena Dahlquist (David), Jack, Rosalie Kirk, Steven (Karen) and Kevin; and his grandson Shingo Murata.
