She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Devaney and Sarah McNichols Devaney; her friend Betty Howard; her husband Philip W. Smith; her brother Robert Devaney (Hilda); and her friends, Jim Howard, Richard Mooney (Dick), Lesley, Frank Morris, Willie Meadows and Mac Smith.
She is survived by: her friend Monsignor Edmund R. Cody; her daughters, Kathleen Smith-Meadows (Gary), Leslie Smith Toevs (Rolland) and Nancy Smith Herrick (Jon); her grandchildren, Sarah (Angela Curran), Philip Meadows (Katie), Meghan Toevs Duey (Eric), Alex Toevs, Lauren Herrick and Kari Herrick Black; her great grandchildren, Greta Duey, Olivia, Hannah Meadows, Charlotte and Sawyer Black; her friends, Phil and Priscilla; her sister-in-law Katherine Smith (C. Arthur); and her cousins, Marilyn Devaney, Michael Devaney (Kathryn) and Linda Devaney. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
