She was predeceased by: her parents, Codis Mathes and Georgianna Mathes. She is survived by: her former husband Willis Evans; her sisters, Ventrolla King and Elois Parker; her children, Shirley Thomas, Darnell Evans (Stephanie), Vera Evans and Geraldine Boateng; her grandchildren, Travis Williams, Rainey Boateng, Tiphanie Anirah and Sean Willecke; and her great grandchildren, Khalil Williams, Pheanyx Williams and Shai Williams. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family is requesting all to wear masks. Because of COVID-19 concerns, the family is requesting only family and close friends attend; however, all are asked to keep the family uplifted in prayer.
