She was predeceased by: her parents, Lueray Thornton and Jessie Weatherford Thornton; and her brothers, Grant (Shorty) and Don. She is survived by: her husband Ben Perkins; her children, Dawn and Scott (Natalie); her granddaughters, Bailey and Danika; and her brothers, Ken Thornton (Joey) of Sonoma and Tom Thornton (Gail). She is also survived by her parents and two older brothers.
Karen made many quilts for donation and was an accomplished seamstress.
