She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Riedesel and Emma Riedesel; her husband Clarence John Rainey; and her siblings, John, Marvin, Ervin Riedesel and Velma Hammitt.

She is survived by: her family, Emilie, Sandra, Johnny and Pietra; her children, Emilie Kanon (Ken), Sandra Rainey, Johnny Rainey and Pietra Rainey (Brian Castles); her grandchildren, Diana Kanon (Jerry Irish), Alex Kanon (Liz), Orianna Rainey, Katie Lupo (Brian), Stephanie Castles and Krista Timm; and her great grandchildren, Laila, Kyleigh, Kaia, Lola, Lilliana and Maddox.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Elva's name may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital or a charity of your choice.
