He was predeceased by: his parents, David "Eldon" Rice and Zelda Burnside Rice; his sister Donna Rice Cameron; his son Robert "Bob" Rice (Susan Rice); and his grandson Casey Dee Rice.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Mecham; his children, Ron (Kathy Rice), Dave (Debbie Rice), Jon (Sandra Rice) and Nate (Julia Rice); and his brother Marvin Rice. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 27 great grand-children.
