He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Hale and Illa Beus Hale; his siblings, Kenneth, Mark, Johnnie, Steven and Jetta; his son-in-law David Frint; and his grandsons, Aaron and Jared Hale.
He is survived by: his wife Carol May Gardner; and his children, Bradly Hale (Julie) of Moreland, Evona Young (Art) of Pingree, Marcene Frint of Green River, WY, Betty Tobias (Kevin) of Layton, UT and Kent Hale (Belinda) of Tetonia. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
