He is survived by: his children, Keith Carpenter (Megan) of Spokane, WA, Chris Carpenter (Lori) of Bonners Ferry, WA and Kim James (Joey) of Rathdrum, ID; his stepchildren, Rocky Vaughn (Holly) of Bakersfield, CA and Sherrie Sims of Cataldo, ID; and his brother Jim Carpenter (Melba) of Radersburg, MT. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
