She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Johnson and Mayme Johnson; her former husband Gene Shubert; her sisters, Mabel Meeks (Lyle) and Ruth Doyle (James); her son Phillip Shubert; and her grandson Eric Dugger.
She is survived by: her husband Felix Hamel; her children, Carol Shubert, Marie Shadduck (Mike) of Post Falls, Kathleen "Katie" Burge (Stan) of Rathdrum and James Shubert (Sue) of St. Maries; and her sister-in-law Pat Hopper of Pine Creek. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 7 great- great grandchildren.
