He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Thompson and Vera Thompson; his brother Verl Thompson; his son Brent Thompson; his nephew Gary Thompson; and his sister-in-law Valerie Dolphus.
He is survived by: his wife Cleo Dolphus Thompson; his brother Lane Thompson; his daughter Heather Dawn Thompson; his grandchildren, TahnagliWin, Waleah Rose and Rayevan Lightning Fire; his nephew Donny Thompson; his nieces, Kristi Thompson Kosbab and Wanda Thompson; and his great-nephew Shane Thompson. He is also survived by his many in-laws, nieces and nephews, and their children and grandchildren.
