He was predeceased by: his parents, Isac Lloyd and Ruby Ellen Hilliard; his wife Jean Rule; his son Leslie; and his siblings, Bob and Ethel Hilliard.

He is survived by: his children, Pam Ziegenfuss (Joel), Jeff (Laurie) and Kim (Sharla); his grandchildren, Eric Ziegenfuss, Holly Toller (Shawn), Whitney, Brandon, Devin, Marissa and Mariah; his siblings, Dean Hilliard (Judy), Vern Hilliard (Millie), Larry Hilliard, Galen Hilliard (Donna), Dave Hilliard, Shirley Connor, Phyllis Knapp and Dianne Stemple; his great grandchildren, Audrey Ziegenfuss, Loren Ziegenfuss and Tanner Ziegenfuss; and his close friend Chumie.
