He was predeceased by: his son Lance Bruhn. He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginny" Bruhn; his children, Linda Andrews (Ralph) of Waitsburg, Margaret "Tiny" Palmer (Brent) of Smelterville and Kim Huber (Eric) of Spirit Lake, Idaho; and his sisters, Delores and Joanne. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
