He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Oeleis and Hazel Oeleis (Hawkins); his wife Kathy (Ackerman); and his siblings, Dewey, Tom, Alma, Mary and Amy.
He is survived by: his children, Shonna Howe (Dan) and Michelle Tryon (Dave); and his grandchildren, Terri McCoy (Matt), Gary Howe (Cassie), Dani Placencio (Taylor), Jada Tryon (Austin Ament) and Kyle Tryon (Katelyn). He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
