He was predeceased by: his parents, Nettie Carter-Myers and Victor George Myers; his siblings, Colleen Myers-Farnow (Douglas Jr.), Ted Myers and Dorothy Myers-Johnson (Samuel Ray Johnson); and his daughter-in-law LuJean Myers.

He is survived by: his brother Dairy; his sister-in-law Bonnie Myers; his children, Alan Dale Myers (Lynita), Jill Hollingshead Minersville (Duke) of Utah, Joani Haws (David), Jed Myers Nyssa (Robin) of Oregon, Jason Myers (Denise) and Kathy Myers; and his wife Ila Marie DeLeeuw August. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.
