He was predeceased by: his parents, William Markus and Kathryn Markus; and his siblings, Kenneth, Bruce, Lloyd and Linda.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Lee Markus of Nampa; his siblings, Leroy Markus of Nampa, Betty Dahlerup of South Dakota and Viola Bailey of Meridian; and his sons, Mike Markus, Scott (Marcine Markus), Rick (Kimber Markus) and Jay (Melody Markus). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
