It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew Wayne Koontz of Nampa, Idaho, who passed away on September 17, 2021, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Koontz (Gould) of Nampa, ID; his parents, Jack Koontz of Salem, OR and Connie Koontz of Vancouver, WA; his daughters, Miranda Koontz (Jackson) and Brittany Koontz (Cameron) of Vancouver, WA.; his sisters, Heather Griggs of Vancouver, WA and Holly Marshall (Jim) of Vancouver, WA.; and his half-brothers, Spencer Koontz and Nick Koontz.

Once there, he was diagnosed with COVID-19.
