He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Skantel and Mabel Skantel (McDonald); and his siblings, Robert Skantel and Dorothy Zagar. He is survived by: his wife Lovina Skantel; his children, Lonnie Skantel (Lisa) of Vancouver, Washington, Tracy Skantel (Kelley) of Hayden Lake and Terry Skantel (Geri) of Haugan, Montana; his grandchildren, Sam Skantel, Jack Skantel, Drew Suckow, Nate Suckow, Jeremy Skantel, Heather Skantel and Allison Kaufman; his nieces and nephews, Neil (Diane Gallagher), Shawn (Pam), Brady and Darla (Darren); and his sister-in-law Marge Skantel.
