He was predeceased by: his brother Kelvin. He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Brad Byers (Tracy Skaer), Sherri Byers and Rodney Byers (Penny); his granddaughter Tasha Gerlitz; and his sister Judy Enger (Linn). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family suggests donations be made to the Avon Busy Bee Club c/o Shelly Cannon 1242 Hwy 9 Deary, ID 83823.
