He is survived by: his parents, Floyd McClanahan and Rita McClanahan of Columbia Falls, MT; his wife Merida; his children, McKenzie McClanahan of Moscow, ID, Breanna Schaefer (John) of Belle Fourche, SD, Kyle McClanahan of Bakersfield, CA and William Steppe (Erin) of Lewiston, ID; and his siblings, Jody Wolf (Kevin) of Columbia Falls, MT and Russell McClanahan (Kara) of Pullman, WA. He is also survived by 6 beautiful grandchildren.
The family has established a Memorial Fund to help with expenses and to establish a Scholarship program for young student athletes at the Garfield Palouse Cooperative Schools. Donations can be made to Jay McClanahan Memorial Fund at Idaho Central Credit Union.
