He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Abraham Johnson and Viola Christena Peterson; his siblings, Mona and Weldon; and his grandson Andrew.
He is survived by: his wife Julie; his children, Delmas Wayne (Julianne), Lori Ann, David E and Tammy Lyn; and his grandchildren, Whitney (Michael), Heather, Kyle, Emily (Ian) and James. He is also survived by 4 great-granddaughters.
