He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Cecelia Whitmire; his daughter Mechelle Lynn Whitmire; his wife Penny Whitmire (Campbell); his children, Ronald Campbell (Cassie) and Misty Edgington (David); his siblings, Sheryl Hoyt (Rich), Linda Spearman (Jim) and Steve Whitmire; his father Leon Whitmire; his stepmother Lois; and his grandchildren, Mechelle Almaraz, Miah Almaraz, Maddison Edgington, Lucas Campbell and Marabel Campbell. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
