He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave Baarda and Celia Baarda; and his siblings, Dora Jansen van (Evert), Beek of Nampa, Grace Saarloos (Harold) of California, Martha Twamley (Gerald) of California and Otto Baarda of California. He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews as well as a number of cousins.
