He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Kester and Lloyd Kester; his stepfather Bob Craig; and his siblings, Jerry Kester, Wayne Kester and Margaret Thrall.
He is survived by: his former wife June Vaughn of Caldwell; his daughters, Amber Hammond of Caldwell and Marilyn Piccola of Meridian; and his grandchildren, Jerry, Raelene, Brayden, Katelin, Nathaniel and Rebecca.
