She was predeceased by: her parents, John R. Smith and Helen Smith (Kendrick); her siblings, Neil, Mark, John "Jackie" Smith, Donna Kelly, Ursula Strom, Barbara Kocik and Joanne Sako; and her grandson Anthonie Gallegos.

She is survived by: her husband Joseph J. Gallegos of Meridian; her children, Gene Gallegos (Maria) of Meridian, Gary Gallegos (Rubie) of Meridian, Joseph Jr. Gallegos (Molini) of Nampa and Cynthia Gallegos of Meridian; her sister Ardis Schallerer of Arlington Heights, IL; her grandchildren, Cassi Gallegos, Nathan Gallegos, Josh Gallegos, Amanda Gallegos, Justin Gallegos and Matthew Gallegos; and her great grandchildren, Julian M. and Lydia Gallegos.
