He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Novak and Grace Hart Novak; his wife Phyllis Novak (Tews); and his siblings, Norman Novak and JoAnn Meredith.
He is survived by: his children, Geralynn Patterson (James), Gaylene Munroe and Larren Novak (Irene); his grandchildren, Jennifer Novak, Erin Novak and Jeremy Munroe (Becky); his stepgrandchildren, Mark Munroe (Heidi), Jason Munroe (Gretchen) and Ann Munroe (Dan Neef); and his siblings, Larry Novak, Ronald Novak and Marilyn Ashford. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Luke's Hospice.
