She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn King and Ellen King; her siblings, Cecil, Alice Mae Grover (Melvin) and Ruth Pabst (Bill); and her brothers-in-law, Robert Olsen and Stephen Thornton.

She is survived by: her close friend Ned; her sisters, Maurine Olsen, Mary Bolinder (Robert) and Ann Thornton; and her children, Duqui Helphenstine, Monique Smart (Keven) and DaVee Wayman.
