He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Hieb and Christina Heyne Hieb; his stepmother Lydia Hieb; his wife JoAnn Hieb; and his son Alan Hieb.
He is survived by: his daughter Jan Sheridan (Phil) of Meridian; his daughter-in-law Kathy Hieb of Boise; his grandchildren, John Hieb (Amy), Eric Hieb (Katie), Christina Snyder (Brandon), Melissa Sheridan, Amanda Caperon (Colby), Philip Sheridan and Jessica Sheridan; his great grandchildren, Klark, Emry, Raelyn Hieb, Derek, Clara, Hadley, Brielle Caperon, Theodore and Lewis Snyder; his sister Ruth C. Jonas of Blackfoot; and his half-siblings, Loretta Allphin (Blaine) of Burley, Doris Hieb of Rupert, Richard Hieb of Central Point and Melvin Hieb of Rupert. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
