He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl E. Simantel and Ester K. Simantel; his wife Joan; his son Dan Simantel; his grandchildren, Travis and Traci Barningham; and his sister Connie West.
He is survived by: his children, David Simantel of Eagle, ID and Debra Barningham Meridian (Mike); his grandsons, Cory Simantel (Virginia), Nate Barningham of Boise, ID and Trent Barningham of Ephrata, WA; and his siblings, Merle Simantel (Fayth) and Lu Ann Seeberger.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Alzheimer Association is suggested.
