He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph W. Schmidt and Theresa Reiner Schmidt; his sisters, Margaret Becker, Florence Lux and Delores VonBargen; and his granddaughter Jalea Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Regimbal; his children, Keith Schmidt (Julie), Diane Parks (Dave), Cheryl Horovitz (Dan) and Dana Morrell (Todd); and his siblings, Lucille Sprute, Clemy Bieker, Anna Gehring, Theresa Wemhoff (Willie) and Father Joe Schmidt. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
